Beta

Stubby: Fixed 6 extra bricks to 9 extra bricks.

Everybody Edits Beta is the testing platform for new features that Chris plans on adding to the game. The beta program was created on August 17, 2010. To enter the beta program, you must have donated an amount of money in the past, or paid the current $9.95 USD or 100 gem beta price. Originally, the beta was only available to people with a Facebook connected account, but later Chris added an in-game login system. The regular client on and the beta client used to be connected and share the same levels, but because of some of the updates in version 0.8.4, the beta version was no longer backwards compatible with the regular version. This means that the levels created in the beta program were only playable for other beta users. But, this was only temporary and beta members could still play their saved levels on the public Everybody Edits page. On December 20, Chris made both the public and beta games compatible again. On December 21st regular users were given access to the shop, one of the first beta tested features to become available for regular users.

Current features only available to Beta Members:

Energy

2015-04-23T22:40:00Z

Stubby: Changed a bit of grammar, and added other ways of increasing energy.

Stub

Energy is one of the two currencies used in the Everybody Edits Shop to purchase new Smilies, Blocks, Worlds, and formerly, Potions.

Users, upon registering, start off with a maximum energy of 200.

If a user's energy supply is not full, it replenishes at a rate of 1 every 150 seconds (2.5 min.). Users get 24 energy every hour, so after 8 hours 20 minutes, users will have full energy assuming a 200 energy maximum.

A user's maximum energy can be increased through Magic, contests, or formerly, Magic class.

Woot

2015-04-23T22:33:20Z

Stubby: Changed the maximum woot number from 5 to 10,

Woots are stars with red bows that can be given from players to worlds as a way of rating a World good. In the lobby, worlds can be sorted by the amount of woots. Originally, "Woot" was another term for magic coins after they were re-added, but as of November 21, Woots and magic coins were separated to prevent further confusion.

Usage
If a player wants to, they can give a world a Woot. People often put fun and entertaining things in their worlds to encourage people giving Woots. The special Woots used for giving to worlds have a red bow on them. Every day, the player will receive 10 more Woots to give to worlds.

If Woots are attempted to be saved for the next day, the amount of Woots a player has is capped at 10, making the unused Woots yesterday go to waste. The worlds can now be (and already are, by default) sorted by how many Woots they have, although do be aware that worlds with lots of Woots can often be found with little to no people in it. As Woots burn away, a popular world may not have the same popularity the next day, giving other world's a chance to have more Woots.
